Ocean Outdoor Netherlands will be media partner of the European Para Championships. Ocean Outdoor, market leader in (Digital) Out-of-Home (DOOH), will use their digital screens to introduce parasports to a wide and diverse audience. This partnership offers a unique opportunity to share the European Para Championships with a large audience in and around Rotterdam.
Ocean Outdoor Netherlands is known for its nationwide network of more than 191 locations and 348 screens, reaching more than 20 million people daily along highways, in public transport, in shopping malls and city centres. With quality and innovation at the forefront, Ocean Outdoor Netherlands continuously invests in the latest DOOH technology and research capabilities for the benefit of advertisers, media agencies and concessionaires.
Xavier Tilman, CEO Ocean Outdoor Netherlands, comments: "Ocean is a big sports fan and is delighted to contribute to the grandeur of this fantastic event with our screens. Together we will create the ultimate sports experience in and around Rotterdam. We wish the athletes the best of luck on this fantastic stage!"
Jeroen Straathof, tournament director of the European Para Championships: "We are very happy with this partnership, as it gives us the opportunity to show parasports to a large and diverse audience. Thanks to the digital screens along major Dutch highways and in the city centre of Rotterdam and its surroundings, we will be able to show animated event announcements and short videos. In addition, we will stream at least 2 sports finals live on large screens in the heart of the city. In this way, we will bring parasports not only to Ahoy or the city center courts, but also to people while shopping, sightseeing or on their way to work. This is groundbreaking for the parasport and a wonderful way for as many people as possible to get in touch with the European Para Championships."
The European Para Championships is a unique event bringing together 10 different para sports. Para cycling, Para archery, Para badminton, Wheelchair tennis, Boccia, Goalball, Wheelchair basketball, Para judo, Shooting para sport and Para taekwondo will compete in the European Championships. The multisport event not only offers the chance for athletes to compete for gold medals, but also to gain qualification points or direct qualification for the 2024 Paralympic Games in Pari
