T-Mobile Netherlands, one of the larger telecom providers in the Netherlands, has committed to the European Para Championships (EPC) as an Official Partner. This prestigious multi-sport event will take place from 8 to 20 August 2023 in Rotterdam. During this period, athletes in ten different parasports will compete for the European titles.
As the official partner of the European Para Championships, T-Mobile will have a visible presence during the event. The telecom provider will also show what technology can do for people these days. For example, a so-called Holobox will be placed in Rotterdam Ahoy where holographic versions of top athletes will welcome visitors. Besides being a partner of the European Para Championships, T-Mobile is the main sponsor of Team NL and NOC*NSF.
Tisha van Lammeren, Chief Commercial Consumer Officer of T-Mobile: "Earlier this year, we committed to NOC*NSF's mission to make the Netherlands the most sporting country in the world. We support this goal because we believe everyone should be able to participate. Because participating in sport often means participating in society. This mission also fits seamlessly with the character of the European Para Championships where athletes excel in various parasports. Our partnership with EPC not only supports the athletes, but we also hope to inspire others to get moving and take up sports. So a great match, we are proud of this partnership and look forward to this beautiful top sports event."
Jeroen Straathof, Tournament Director of the European Para Championships: "We are extremely excited about T-Mobile's involvement in our event. The support of an international Triple A brand emphasises the importance of the Para sport and offers new opportunities to spread our message. Together we will make the European Para Championships an unforgettable experience for athletes, fans and everyone involved."
The European Para Championships is a unique event that brings together ten different parasports. Athletes will compete for European championships in Para cycling, Para archery, Para badminton, Wheelchair tennis, Boccia, Goalball, Wheelchair basketball, Para judo, Shooting parasport and Para taekwondo. This multisport event not only offers the chance for athletes to compete for gold medals, but also to gain qualification points or direct qualification for the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
T-Mobile Netherlands is one of the larger consumer and business telecom providers in the Netherlands. T-Mobile Netherlands is different from the established order, in the middle of society and more than just a telecom provider. It challenges and only stops when everyone is connected. With the T-Mobile, Tele2, Simpel and Ben brands, customers have access to interactive TV, mobile and fixed internet and calling. T-Mobile's mobile networks are world-class and have therefore received many international awards in recent years. More information about T-Mobile can be found on our website.
