Van Mossel, the largest mobility company in the Netherlands, has joined the European Para Championships (EPC) as Official Supplier. The first edition of the multisport event will take place from August 8 to 20 in Rotterdam. Athletes in ten different parasports will then compete for European titles.
As a partner, Van Mossel is mainly involved in transporting the special guests and VIPs during the event. The mobility company is proud to do their part during the European Para Championships. "Van Mossel is committed to local involvement and promoting inclusion and sports performance. In this context, we are delighted to be involved as a sponsor at the European Para Championships in Rotterdam," said Bas Huijzer, divisional director at Van Mossel.
"We are thrilled that the EPC will take place in Rotterdam this year. With several Van Mossel Renault, Dacia and Nissan branches in the region, it is an honor for us to participate in this as a car sponsor," reports Huijzer.
Tournament director Jeroen Straathof is also pleased to have been able to tie the mobility company to the event. "With Van Mossel we were able to link the largest mobility company in the Netherlands to the EPC," says Straathof. "They work with almost all car brands in the Netherlands and actively look for growth opportunities abroad. This ambition forms a tremendously good match with the EPC. In addition, Van Mossel is also very active in the Rotterdam region. We notice a huge 'can do' mentality at Van Mossel and that appeals to us."
"Mobility is important for EPC," continued Straathof. "Supplying all the vehicles needed in the heart of summer is no easy task. We focus on electric models, because a sustainable use of mobility in sports is important. Van Mossel provides the help we need”, says Straathof.
The European Para Championships is a unique event that combines ten different parasports. Athletes will compete for the European Championships in Para cycling, Para archery, Para badminton, Wheelchair tennis, Boccia, Goalball, Wheelchair basketball, Para judo, Shooting parasport and Para taekwondo. This multisport event not only offers the chance for athletes to compete for gold medals, but also to obtain qualification points or direct qualification for the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
Mobility company Van Mossel has grown in over 75 years to become the largest automotive company in the Benelux. The company has 382 branches in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and Luxembourg.
